Welcome to all the new followers to my blog.

This past Friday, Bulldog Man and I hopped in the truck and headed to Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  The drive down was nice, through winding mountainous roads.  At one point, both Bulldog Man and I had our stomachs’ jump to our throats when driving up a hill, and not seeing the road on the other side.  I felt like I was on the Dukes of Hazzard’s with the truck jumping off the road.  Once we both were able to see the road on the other side of the hill, we laughed so hard.

We continued driving toward our destination, a cabin at Wilderness Lakefront Resort Broken Bow, Oklahoma where we spent several nights, enjoying relaxation in the middle of the wilderness.  We fished at Broken Bow Lake…..down this trail from our cabin, and the Lower Mountain Fork River.

If you’re looking for a place to relax, I recommend staying at the Wilderness Lakefront Resort in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

In route to the resort, we drove past a large processing plant (in town) for Tyson Foods, along with a large lumber processing plant, and a paper plant.

Several of the mountains were stripped bare of trees; to process at the lumber and paper plants. It just broke my heart to see this. You could smell fresh cut pine for miles while driving through town.

Speaking of Tyson, not only did we get to see the large processing plant, but as we drove toward our cabin, on one of the side dirt road, you could see farms contracted to Tyson Foods.   Remember the programs outlining how chickens were raised in mass…………….well these were those places.
