MARTHA, Okla. — The Matt Muller family was named the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Farm Family of the Year during the group’s annual meeting in Oklahoma City. The Mullers farm on 2,000 acres in Martha, in southwest Oklahoma.

Matt Muller got his first farmland at the age of 14. His agriculture business has expanded greatly over the years. He and his wife, Kellie, and four children all work on the farm. The family grows cotton, wheat, grain sorghum, canola, soybeans, mung beans, alfalfa and Bermuda grass hay. The farm has included soybeans and peanuts in the past, changing to meet growing conditions and the agricultural economy.



Oklahoma Farm Family of the Year

Matt and Kellie Muller are active in the agriculture community. They served as the state Young Farmers and Ranchers chairmen in 2003-2004 and received the 2006 American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award. Matt serves on the board of the Jackson County Farm Bureau, and Kellie has served as its Women’s Leadership Committee chair.

As state Farm Family of the Year, the Mullers received the use of a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Double Cab pickup for one year and a trip to the American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting in January in Orlando.
