Marine Engineer
Essex
Type: Full Time Staff Position
Salary: Will be based upon experience to date (Benefits include contributory pension scheme, share save scheme, 25 days per annum annual leave)

Our client is a well-established Marine Engineering Consultancy that has offices across the globe. Their teams of Marine Engineers, Naval Architects, Control and Automation Specialists, Electrical Engineers, Cargo Systems Specialists and Dynamic Positioning Specialists allow them to offer clients a full range of services.
Job Responsibilities
The successful Marine Engineer will join a multi-discipline team that encompasses all aspects of ship consultancy, with particular responsibilities including:
* Vessel design development - LNG, LPG, Tankers, Bulk Carriers etc.
* Pre-feed and Feed Studies
* Shipping Feasibility Studies
* Vessel design review and plan approval, construction supervision and conversion projects
* Vessel pre-purchase inspections and condition assessments
* Ship/shore compatibility studies
* Vessel due diligence audits
* Preparation of new build specifications and development of repair specifications
* Contract negotiations
* Guarantee claim follow up and operational support
* Project management
* Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for equipment
* FMEA studies for offshore vessels
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal Marine Engineer will hold a First Class Certificate of Competence, with Sea going experience as Chief Engineer Officer being preferable. Additionally it is preferable that you hold Dangerous Cargo Assessment (DCE) and have experience of gas carriers.
