Job Description

Based in Central London the Electronic Design Engineer / Motor Control Engineer, will be joining a team focused on state of the art Imaging systems.
The products are designed, developed and assembled in the South West London office which offers innovative, and custom CCTV solutions from lightweight to heavy duty, to be utilised in harsh environments. The Electronics Design Engineer /Motor Control Engineer, will have a strong background in analogue electronics with demonstrable experience in the development of motor control systems, and the ability to;

*Provide the technical lead for the development and modification of current and future motor control systems.
*Lead the theoretical and practical design, and the implementation of closed loop servo control systems, utilising BLDC motors, including;
­PID algorithm development for both analogue and digital systems.
­Low speed and high accuracy motor control systems.
*Lead the development of embedded control systems, including;
­Utilising low power and resource processors for motor drive and control functions
­Ability to select the electronics hardware required to support the motor control system
­Identification and use of design tools necessary for implementing embedded control systems including TI Code Composer Studio IDE and version control tools.
*Successfully manage the definition and delivery of technical work packages to scope, schedule and budget, by;
­Generating quantifiable specifications based on internal/external customer requirements.
­Presenting technical reports to customer, senior management and design teams.

The successful Motor Control Engineer will have;

*Degree in a technical discipline, plus likely to have achieved an MSc or similar in a related area.
*Several years of experience in a motor control systems environment.

Further to these skills and qualifications, the Motor Control Design Engineer will also have the ability to interface with suppliers, partners and customers. Will have strong communication skills and fluency in written/verbal English. Plus experience of operating in ISO 9001 environments and to industry specific standards.
