Our client is currently recruiting for the position of a Drilling Supervisor, based in Eagle Ford, Cuero.
Job Description
Drilling Supervisor manages and directs activities of drilling operations and execution of the well program.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, management principles and standards.
Manage and direct the activities of the Drilling Contractor and Drilling Service Contractors in the execution of the well program.
Ensure all company policies, management principles and standards are complied with.
Lead the HSE program on the rig and ensure its effectiveness.
Direct, supervise and optimize all rig operations.
Co-ordinate personnel, equipment and material requirements for rig operations.
Monitor, document and report all rig operations affecting the well.
Skills and Experience
Good technical and operational understanding of drilling and/or completions.
Safety management skills.
Sound knowledge of WWD000 drilling, completion and operational policies.
Supervisor's well control.
Advanced drilling industry technical courses.
Risk management course.
Audit course.
Moderate drilling and/or completions experience on several different well types.
Operator experience preferred.
Moderate hands on supervisor experience required.
Practical contractor experience is a plus for Drilling Supervisors.
Eagle Ford shale experience preferred.
Will not consider candidates who require sponsorship.
Must have well control, safe land and h2s training and certifications for consideration.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
