Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Service Engineer/ Technician, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Work with experienced service technician to install new products and conduct repairs of equipment insuring no rig lost time for customers while controlling expenses and maintaining assets of the company
Assure all equipment, service tooling and spare parts are on location and ready to use and function fit prior to beginning each job. Record critical dimensions to ensure assembly will work and assist with the review of product running procedures
Provide "Project Support" as required, for all new projects which includes: attending design review for equipment and tools, reviewing installation procedures, assisting with project Factory Acceptance Tests and reviewing project training requirements for service personnel.
Maintain communication with Company Representative on issues including job procedures, spare parts requirements, function fit and critical dimension measurements
Provide sales support through quality customer interface and keep customer fully informed of all aspects of the job.
Complete Field Non-Conformance Reports (FNCR) forms as product problems are encountered. Assure all equipment and procedural defects are communicated back to Company Service Management.
Prepare and submit Field Service Orders and other region required reports after each job is complete.
Understand and follow all company and customer safety requirements. Proactively pursue safe work practices and participate in safety training

Experience/Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Technical University (engineering education)/equivalent vocational training and experience/ equivalent military training or related experience.
Significant mechanical or hydraulic related experience in an oilfield service environment.
English language skills - spoken and written.
Willing and able to travel abroad for work or training.
Computer skills: Competent and familiar with MS Office applications and email package(s)
