Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Electrical Engineer, based in Singapore.

Our client are involved in a project to supply an E-House and VFD Building for an O&G project undergoing construction in Singapore, with the scope including the engineering of complete modules that will ultimately be deployed on a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) that will operate within the UK Continental Shelf. The E-House and VFD Building will be designed for normally un-attended operation in a pressurised air-conditioned structure suitable for outdoor, offshore climate and UK and North Sea marine environment.
The E-House shall contain Medium Voltage (MV) 11kV and 6.6kV Switchgear, Low Voltage (LV) 440V Switchboards, Bus ducts, Power and Distribution Transformers, LV Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), AC Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems, LV Distribution Boards for Normal/Emergency Lighting and Small Power and Heat Tracing.
The VFD Building is designed to house MV Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) complete with isolation transformer (if required) and air or water cooled heat exchangers, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System, Purging System, Fire suppression etc.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with demonstrable knowledge and experience of design and specification of electrical and ancillary equipment in this environment. As a minimum we are required to comply with UK Government Legislation, with standards envisaged to include, but not be restricted to:

The individual required will be working within a team of electrical engineers, providing clear guidance to ensure compliance throughout the design phase.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
