Job Description
An experienced Refrigeration Engineer is required to join our client's team in Mumbai.
Skills & Experience
1st class Degree in Mechanical engineering with specialization in Industrial refrigeration system will be preferred.
Experience of working in design & engineering group for Industrial refrigeration dealing with Ammonia (refrigerant) systems.
Experience in system design, knowledge about equipment design related to Industrial refrigeration systems e.g. vapor compressors (screw/reciprocating), Oil cooler, oil separators, oil pumps, Refrigerant oil cooling system, Heat pumps application, Heat recovery systems from Refrigeration system, Evaporative & conventional condensers, Pumped overfeed systems with canned rotor ammonia pumps, Intercooler, accumulator (pump vessel), Receiver, Heat exchangers - Shell & tube, PHE and special heat exchangers for Evaporators/condensers, various types of evaporators e.g. air cooling units, flooded & Dx evaporators, systems design related to 2 stage system with intercoolers, overfeed/flooded system, hot gas defrosting, centralized large refrigeration system with 3 to 4 different temp levels, system safety & sustainability requirement for such systems.
Conversant with latest development/technology for providing most optimised/energy efficient solutions based on each project specific requirement, hook up requirement with existing plants for across the globe projects.
Conversant with various global standards/guidelines for Industrial refrigeration (including ASHRAE/ARI).
He will be able to provide techno economic comparison of various refrigeration systems e.g. HFC/Ammonia/Hydrocarbon, vapor compression and vapor absorption system, water/air cooled system, Evaporative/water cooled condenser with cooling tower.
Global exposure/understanding for the system requirements related to various countries across globe - cold/very cold, hot, very hot, European/American/other areas specific standards & requirements for refrigeration.
Able to work independently for preparation of Technical specification, data sheets, flow diagram, selection of equipment, Utility requirement, refrigeration load evaluation (for Ice cream/Beverage/Cold/deep freezes), deciding the system capacities required, floating enquiries, evaluation of offers related to Industrial refrigeration and Chiller packages, preparing global Core design documents for industrial central refrigeration systems as well as Chiller packages, Techno commercial bid evaluation & recommendations for such systems and vendor document review.
Fairly good understanding & knowledge about special controls & instruments about refrigeration systems e.g. Danfoss, Parker, Hansen controls etc.
Will be able to freeze/review P&ID for Refrigeration systems.
Fair knowledge about commercial data related to cost estimates & comparison price w.r.t. global scenario.
Quick/detailed cost estimation for various types of refrigeration systems of global preferred suppliers equipment e.g. GEA, YORK/JCI, Zudek, etc.
Preferably have experience of working with global refrigeration OEMs e.g. YORK/JCI, GEA, similar equivalent - in the design engineering team working independently for various types of industries - Dairy, Ice Cream, FMCG, Brewery, Food & Beverages, large multi product Cold stores etc. will be preferred.
Hands on experience about pre commissioning/commissioning, inspection/testing/execution for large industrial refrigeration projects.
Good communication skill to communicate smoothly with internal clients/Suppliers
This is a permanent position.
