Location: Singapore
The Base & Logistics Coordinator will be primarily responsible for
all materials, either owned or hired by the company, and the logistical needs. This position will provide support to the Operations Department for relevant movement of equipment and liaison with other group offices for equipment transferal between the different offices.
Key Requirements
Previous relevant experience preferred
Relevant technical training to supervise roles within the
Logistics team.
Good understanding of freight services
Clean driving Licens
Computer Literate
- Flexible attitude to working hours and working practices
- Supervisory experience preferred
- For on-site co-ordination of equipment mobilisation and de-
mobilisation
- Accurate completion and upkeep of logistics paperwork
and any other necessary forms /information/ records
required
- Storage and control of documentation in order to meet
legal and company compliance requirements
- Dangerous Goods identification and reporting
Job Description
- Supervision of the day to day activities within the Logistics Department and allocation of workload according to the resources available and current priorities.
- Accurate and timely completion of logistics documentation
- Preparation for project mobilisations
- Correctly manifesting item movements
- Coordination of global freight forwarding by Land, Sea and
Air
- Ensuring that the asset tracking system is updated and
maintained
- Ensuring that Dangerous Goods are identified and
necessary information is relayed to appropriate personnel
- Driving of forklifts when necessary
- Driving of Company transport when necessary
- Manage the Major Export Scheme
- Liaison with the company appointed freight forwarders to
ensure all of the above are achieved in an orderly manner.
- Receives documents like packing list, shipping documents
etc, verify with PO as correct and proceed with shipment
- Get relevant quotes for freight, issue necessary
transportation PO and proceed with transportation
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
- Manage the housekeeping and upkeep of plant and
machinery, fixtures and office/workshop premises for
efficient and safe operation
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of relevant working
theory and practice and provide suitable interpretation to
management and staff
- Overseeing stock control and processing orders
- Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the
work environment
- Responsible for the smooth running of facilities and plant
maintenan
