Key Requirements
* Bachelor's degree from a four year university in mechanical, chemical, electrical or industrial engineering and/ or the equivalent combination of experience & education in a control valve environment ( minimum of 5 years control valve sizing and selecting experience required)
* Ability to correctly size and select control valve solutions for standand and severe service applications.
* Working knowledge of industry standards including ASME, ISA, ANSI, NACE etc. along with understanding of fluid flow, corrosion, erosion, materials of construction, valve specifications and engineering drawings.
* Ability to interpret valve specification sheets and P&ID schematics.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
* Detailed oriented and able to work in a quick paced environment, while prioritizing daily requests and balancing customers' requirements
* Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage assigned territory.
* Willingness to continually learn and expand understanding of control valve products to more effectively explain, select, apply, and sell technical and engineered solutions
* Project management experience with Engineering Contractors serving the process control industries including Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical and Power industries is a plus
Job Description
This position is for a sales application engineer residing in Houston, Texas. This successful candidate will be required to provide application engineering support, technical sales support, project management activities and quotation generation to support our selling activities to our Houston, TX based engineering contractors.
