Our client is a global provider of oilfield engineering services, specialising in offshore lifting, crane engineering and services, mechanical handling, pipe and cable lay-systems, fluid power engineering, equipment rentals and competence training.

They are currently recruiting for the position of Hydraulic Project Engineer, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Apply hydraulic engineering knowledge and expertise, build and maintain relationships, financial/contract management, quality orientation, safety leadership and continuous development in all aspects of crane, lifting and support service activities.
Design and approval of hydraulic circuits and selection of components for use within the circuit/application
Fluid power circuit implementation: hoses, pipes, tubes, fittings
Create a comprehensive plan of activities and setting clear objectives for project implementation. Monitor progress against them and take corrective action as needed.
Administration of assigned project files
Develop cost, time and resource schedules and assist in the preparation of proposals and tenders
Prepare detailed work procedures and reports in relation to projects executed
Carry out site/offshore visits when requested and prepare detailed activity reports
Completing purchasing documentation and monitor procurement process to ensure equipment and material availability

Qualifications/Experience
An HND in Engineering or a BSc or BEng (Hons) Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Experience within a project engineering environment/mechanical engineering background
Excellent communication skills to enable effective client liaison
Effective in dealing with commercial and management aspects of the role
Good technical writing skills
