We have an exciting role for an experienced and motivated Principal Risk and Safety Consultant to join a rapidly expanding and long standing company in one of their UK offices. The desired candidate will have a proven Oil & Gas track record in major hazards safety and risk management across the project lifecycle.
The successful individual will be a key member within a highly successful team of technical safety and risk management consultants. You will not only enjoy solving technical problems, but will also be skilled in developing client relationships, preparing high quality proposals and winning new commissions.
Key Requirements
Key Qualifications / Experience:
• Degree educated in a relevant discipline (e.g. BEng/ BSc)
• Member of a recognised professional institution (e.g. IOSH/ IChemE)
• Technical expertise in major hazards safety and risk management, incorporating key skills in several of the following areas:
- Quantitative and qualitative risk management/assessment (QRA)
- Safety and reliability assessment
- HAZID/HAZOP/HAZAN/Bow-tie
- COMAH reporting
- Detailed consequence analysis and DSEAR
- LOPA & SIL assessment
- EERA/ESSA/PFEER
- Technical safety engineering and auditing
• A proven track record with operators, engineering and regulatory clients with exposure to offshore environments
Job Description
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Lead a multi skilled team with the responsibility of project management and project delivery of a range of Safety and HSEQ projects
• Provide input on technical risk and safety projects
• Ensure risk and safety management best practice and regulatory compliance
• Working with clients to support and solve risk and safety challenges
• Representing our client in a technical forum in order to develop new and existing business
• Managing key client relationships in industry sectors, including the oil/ gas sector
