Job Description

This role is the prime interface between all Expro Business units and remote locations to ensure the most efficient delivery of equipment within required timescale utilising approved logistics freight forwarders. The key factors within this role are supplier performance, Compliance with applicable local/international laws, adherence to Standard Operating Procedure and ensuring acceptable service, quality and total cost management.

Principal Accountabilities:

Scheduling and coordination of international freight movements from UK Hub.

Management of Hub process including Material receipts, building weekly consolidations, coordination with destination logistics teams and Freight forwarder

Preparation of shipping documentation (packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates, etc.) for international export cargoes.

Management of the customs clearance process for export/ import shipments.

Maintain shipping register and files in accordance with standard operating procedure for the working location.

Work directly with business units to ensure all orders are shipped in an expeditious and cost-effective manner and are shipped in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.

Coordinate the review of products in order to determine the correct transportation requirements, including packaging, labeling, and documentation to ensure that shipments are consistent with contractual requirements, external regulations, and internal procedures.

Develop, nurture, and maintain high quality relationships with internal and external customers, freight forwarders, and other service providers.

Generate purchase requisitions for freight related invoices.

Job Knowledge and Experience:

Previous Freight Forwarding Experience

Knowledge of International Air & Sea Shipping

FCPA experience/working knowledge

Working knowledge of INCO Terms.

Able to properly classify both import and export cargoes per the Harmonized Tariff and Schedule B.

Knowledge of local customs regulations

Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, internet, etc.

Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills.

Well-developed sense for assessment, problem-solving, and logistical decision-making.

Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and aggressive deadlines.
