They are currently recruiting for the position of Operations Coach - Instrument, based in Aberdeen/North Sea.

Job Description

Define and develop training requirements and methods for each element to support technician development and preparation for assessments

Participate in planning and scheduling meetings - training and assessment schedules.

Resource effective training materials and work with the PFTP Project Coordinator to include these in our document management system.

Measure and track technician performance and other activities related to program development and implementation.

Imbed the use of Technician Log Books & Trip Objectives, team weekly reports and individual progress reports

Develop strong positive working relationships with staff in support of using the terminal for technician training, coaching and assessments - work with Superintendents, the planning team and others to effectively integrate our training, coaching and assessment activities plus identify opportunities or work we can do to help the team while progressing our technicians

Identify and order or obtain tools, kit and equipment needed in the workshop for training and assessment activities.

Write and develop training plans to meet PF training needs and profile.

Will be discipline expert sharing knowledge to trainees of maintenance methods and systems on terminal

Work with, Support and co-ordinate technicians when opportunities for integration of trainees into maintenance on ST arise.

Coach and Assess the technicians on elements defined for the program to the CMAS Standards.

As a Leader in HSE ensure key HSE management systems and principles are imbedded in the technicians before site assignment. Some examples:

Ensure CoW procedures are understood and followed

Ensure daily tool box talks are happening - periodically participate and recognize individuals for good contributions and help the group to be effective

Conduct regular Safety Observation Conversations with constructive feedback and follow up where required

Re-enforce the value of BOSS with regular activities in place to recognize results.

Attend regular safety meetings - support topics and positively re-enforce individuals participation

Support safety committee for the PFTP groups providing input to this group to define activities including topics for safety meetings, safety objectives, performance measures and reporting, incident report shared learning's, process safety understanding and integrate safety activities with the foundation training program where appropriate

Reinforce technician understanding and their personal impact and responsibility for Process Safety.

Effectively respond and address any safety issues observed or concerns raised by the technicians

Provide honest and constructive feedback to each technician after each assessment on their development progress. Summary of progress to be recorded and any concerns or issues relating to technician technical, safety or behaviour development are to be recorded and reported to ODA's. ODA's as line managers of the technicians are expected to address such personnel issues and will need to work very closely with the support of the ODC's to effectively manage such issues.

Support the development of Instructors (TTE-P Staff) in Company Systems, Programs & Procedures with the intent of having them become more capable in delivering training required for the Post Foundation Training Program.

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
