They are currently recruiting for the position of a Senior Process Controls Engineer, based in Perth, Australia.

Job Description

Manage the technical interfaces associated with the integration of the packages.

To be responsible for the content and quality of all work within the Process Control discipline.

Ensure readiness of Process Control for Ichthys Production facilities start-up.

Provide specialist engineering input to the development of operational strategies for process control and power management systems ensuring compliance with relevant international standards and local legislation.

Establish Control Room philosophies for support of Operator PMS, Production toolset and Advanced Process Control (APC) systems and applications.

Develop Operational strategies for the real time support of critical Digital Process Network infrastructure, including Control Rooms and Integrated Collaborative Environment rooms (ICE).

Develop future operations requirements for Condition and Performance monitoring systems and operational data historians.

Develop Historian based systems to assist Start-Up and early Production.

Organise and assist in technical reviews and audits.

Endorse the relevant technical sections of key offshore documents.

Lead, co-ordinate, produce Process Control documentation in line with the demands of the varying packages and operations.

Advice on new technology development and deployment for offshore.

Provide advice and assistance to the Technical directorate to develop/review Process Control standards.

Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance to run the plant in a safe and optimal manner.

Provide technical support for maturation of opportunities.

Skills and Experience

Extensive experience.

An Engineering Degree in either in Electrical or Process (Control) Engineering or Computer Systems.

Verifiable performance and delivery in positions of technical authority.

Experience in oversight of technical staff and ability to lead a team.

Experience with the development of and commitment to, engineering systems, procedures and quality assurance.

Experience of working within a controlled change management culture to ensure that any changes are fully assessed and approved.

Experience in high availability critical infrastructure.

Expert level digital networking skills in both physical and virtual operating environments essential.

This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
