8 or more years of Supply Chain Management (cross boarder included) experience is required
8 or more years of experience with Global/International trade law and compliance
Working knowledge of the following functional areas - transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory planning and
management, network analysis, and materials management.International Free Trade Zone experience is a plus.
Job Description
Defines requirements with customer for transportation & international trade compliance operations and ensures the implementation of
new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed Company requirements & customer expectations
Develops and deploys transportation solutions and establishes business controls and processes to support global freight and trade
compliance operations of all modes.
Provides direct supervisory control of ongoing transportation team(s) to ensure service level and quality standards are met
Establishes a standard of superior customer service through training and development of work team.
Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
and applicable laws
Responsible for the development of Global Transportation Management capabilities, solutions and technology to support customer
requirements and for supporting the commercialization of those capabilities.
Ensures Transportation Sourcing, claims management, track & trace and Freight Payment/ Audit functions are executed within
established processes and guidelines
Regularly reviews performance expectations with leadership team. Providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, Training
& Development and performance discussions
Identify and contract service providers in support of operational activities
Perform Account Management functions
Develop and present at customer QBR's
Identify growth opportunities with customer
Support Legal processes and enable legal dispute resolutions
Identify and manage operational risks / security practices
Identify and implement company best practices
Develop and implement a healthy and safe work environment
Achieve Budget and Operating Income Goals
Review and approve operational and payroll expenses
Ensure customer AR balances are maintained to company/contractual standards
Scope and Accountability:
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for area; manages multiple teams with related activities that represent or significantly impact a sub-function; oversees operations that directly impact business profitability and initiates business plans to support the business unit strategy; or responsible for multiple teams or a large warehouse/service center. Participates in business unit or corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people. Typically reports to head of a sub-function.
