Job Description

The reliability engineer is a member of the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) Reliability and Maintenance (R&M) team tasked with the responsibility of developing robust maintenance plans for Company's topside equipment on four platforms in the GoM. The Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) plans will incorporate asset specific tasks and job plans. In addition, the maintenance plans must adhere to regulatory and corporate HSSE requirements.

Identify appropriate equipment job tasks, task descriptions and frequencies of what needs to be done to maintain asset capabilities while minimizing adverse effects on personnel and/or the environment.

Ensure task descriptions are clearly written for maintenance craft personnel and/or operating crews to eliminate confusion.

Package job tasks into job plans and group as appropriate for the effective and efficient utilization of resources.

Package job plans into routes and group with other assets as appropriate.

Utilizing reliability knowledge, ensure PM's are technically sound and feasible.

Act as reliability resource to other team members and provide input into the overall development of the maintenance plans.

Identification of critical spares and associating spares to assets/locations.

Reviewing work execution procedures to ensure fitness for purpose as related to job plans.

Skills & Experience

Engineering degree preferred

Expertise in the areas of Reliability Analysis (RCM, FMEA), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Reliability Availability Modeling (RAM).

A broad ranging knowledge of offshore or onshore oil and gas operations and have the ability to understand the technical aspects of asset management.

Familiarity with the establishment of routes, calibrations, functional testing, material requirements, job requirements such as scaffolding and equipment state for work execution, etc.

Demonstrate the necessary influencing skills to:

Develop networks of contacts and sources to facilitate the delivery of business targets.

Motivate others in support of the maintenance plan.

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
