Job Description
Senior QA/QC Technician to provide leadership and support for technical review and interpretation of supplier tender documentation in relation to company contract requirements.
Identify and sort suppliers with company by prior identified N.P.T, incidents, prevailing category of impact upon company operations, quality record and prior Non-Conformance reports
Review the contract requirements for adequacy of appropriate specification content compliance with generally accepted industry procedures and applicable specifications, such as NS-1, NS-2, API 5CT, etc. Make suggestions for identified
improvement areas.
Review existing company-supplier agreed Quality Plans, (Inspection & Testing Plans) for inclusion of all items necessary to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and contract requirements. Make any necessary recommendations
for improvement
Review the service agreements of individual suppliers highlighting the appropriate sections relating to supplier Quality Management System(s), applicable equipment specifications, personnel competency and quality control of
manufacture, assembly, inspection and testing. Make suggestions for identified improvement areas. Perform gap analysis if necessary
Summarize and discuss identified shortfalls and gap analyses with company team
Perform baseline supplier physical onsite audits for compliance with Quality Plans, supplier's own specified QMS, and contract requirements
Provide audit reports to detail supplier compliance with its own global QMS contract terms and applicable specifications, gap analysis, identified non-conformances and recommended corrective actions.
Review tool call out list with each vendor for compliance with company expected delivery per rig field supervisor instructions and well construction plan
Review of mill certificates for traceability of material and conformance to manufacturing specifications, including specialty tools are completely disassembled and serialized, particularly F.A.T., per supplier Q.M.S.
Confirming compliance of shop processes and equipment to A.P.I. Spec 7-1, NS-2â„¢, supplier's own Q.M.S., applicable specifications and agreed Quality Plans.
Confirm or witness inspection and N.D.T. equipment certification, calibration and standardization and personnel competency certification
Witnessing of disassembly, assembly, testing and inspection, including N.D.T. processes
Review of machine shop repair processes
Evaluation of thread and seal surfaces, sub lengths, fishing necks, overall lengths, etc.
Verify thread gauge of all new or re-cut connections
Verify vendor has replaced internal components and tool servicing requirements per vendor Q.M.S. and service manual
Advise of delays in the process of equipment to be sent out to the rig
Verify that B.H.A. BSRs meet customer requirements
Verify critical areas of bodies and connections are inspected with correct methods
Verify necessary inspection equipment is on site
Provide on the job training for local N.D.T. inspection service vendors
Verify supplier equipment disposition decisions
Qualification of lifting and hoisting equipment
Raise and closeout of non-conformances
Issue Release Note which would be sent with the equipment to the rig site
company materials man at the rig to verify receipt of FP Release Note Communications (team meetings, verbal, e-mail status):
Preparation of daily reports
E-Mail on a daily basis of important key findings to the company team
Provide reports on all jobs performed and forwarded to the team on a weekly basis
Issue Non Conformance Reports and Corrective Action Requests as appropriate
Recommend changes in inspection programs to improve or assist local shop personnel in complying with supplier's own Q.M.S and agreed Quality Plans
Communicate changes needed for each vendor related to their operations
Technician to provide detailed verbal and written status to his B2B partner during change out on rotation
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
