Job Description
A well respected Environmental Data Management company is looking for an Oracle developer for a long term staff position.

The position will offer a high level of responsibility to the right candidate.
Responsibilities will include:
Working within the development team providing software application support, application enhancements and development of new features/products as required by:
Familiarisation with current application functionality, platform and hosting services
Gaining a good understanding of environment data legislative requirements and legislative e-reporting systems
Gaining a good understanding of oil & gas operational activities and teminology and Environmental Management Systems best practice for the sector
Embracing Software Development Life Cycle, SDLC and change management processes for:
Analysis
Specification
Development
Testing
Documentation
Provide technical support as required to assist with day to day application incidents and queries
Discuss and define new requirements with end users
Assist in identifying and streaming users data management processes
Assist with our continuous internal process and application improvements
Knowledge & Skills
Significant proven work experience developing and supporting ORACLE applications in a commercial environment
Previous experience developing with ORACLE (PL/SQL)
Sound working knowledge of the complete development lifecycle, SDLC
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication
Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
ORACLE Application Express (APEX)
Maintaining a web based application
Data analysis or business analysis skills
