Job Description

Expro Wireless Well Solutions has the vision to be world leaders in downhole wireless communication. The global business unit, based in Ringwood, Hampshire has two product lines; Long Term Monitoring & Control (LTM & C) and Drill Stem Test Surface Read-out (DST SRO). This Project Manager position is to support the LTM & C product line by managing multiple client projects from start to finish. After contract award, the Project Manager is the primary client contact and is responsible for successful job delivery, by ensuring equipment is delivered on time, installed in accordance with standard operating procedures and financial performance targets are met. The Project Manager will supervise and mentor a number of subordinates, either Project Engineers or Field Engineers and interfaces heavily with other departments in WWS and regional operating units.

Principal Accountabilities:

To work in a safe, responsible and cost effective manner, in full compliance with the company's safety manuals, Quality Assurance System and code of conduct.

Manage several projects concurrently within the Long Term Monitoring and Control product line. Keep up to date action trackers and hold regular progress meetings with stakeholders

Be the primary client focal point from sales handover through to job close-out.

Review Technical and Commercial Proposals with respect to technical aspects, operational delivery, performance figures, budget for rental and sales equipment and personnel with the Sales team.

Attend client meetings in any country, produce regular update presentations and arrange AAR meetings.

In conjunction with the Operations Manager, issue a Documents Requirements List for each project.

Design the job in conjunction with the client and produce the Production Requirements List (PRL). Liaise with the Production Department to ensure delivery of equipment to meet client deadlines.

Liaise with the Logistics supervisor to arrange shipping of the equipment to the client or Expro base. Ensure correct prices are declared on the commercial invoices for sale and rental equipment

Produce a Tasking Document to specify any bespoke parts or assemblies required for the project and liaise with the Engineering Department to ensure new designs are produced in accordance with the project time plan

If applicable, produce a System Integration Test Plan for the project, suitable for client submission and arrange for the testing to be carried out by Field Engineers.

Liaise with the Project Engineer to produce bespoke downhole, subsea or surface schematics as required, including wiring diagrams.

Produce an installation plan for client submission that accurately reflects the work scope, including HSEQ aspects, deployment procedures, toolstring drawings, schematics and testing strategy.

Produce job risk assessments and decision trees in conjunction with Operations Manager.

Issue monthly update reports and project plans (Gantt charts) to the client as required.

Hold internal briefing meetings / presentations to handover job information to the field team. On occasions, the meeting may be extended into a final project review, involving all stakeholders depending on the type and scale of the project.

Provide on-call, out of hours support during the job operational phase. Liaise with the Operational Support Engineer & Engineering department to arrange technical support if required.

Review and approve installation reports and send to client.

Check and approve the equipment status list post job to allow disposal of assets and the return to inventory of used equipment or equipment that requires maintenance.

Ensure that any faulty equipment identified during the job is reported on the company's non conformance system EpiTrak.

On a monthly basis track project costs for equipment and personnel and compare against budget, to ensure correct allocation of costs, margins are met and if not, to ensure future pricing is adjusted. Attend monthly project cost and revenue control meetings.

Provide weekly updates on the status of each project to the Operations Manager for inclusion in the monthly management meeting and for resource planning.

Arrange for client invoices to be issued in a timely manner, in conjunction with the Operations Secretaries or regions. Ensure invoices are approved by Sales or Operations Managers and status entered on the invoice tracker.

In conjunction with the Field Engineers, obtain client feedback and ensure results are logged and reported. Any issues raised by clients should be resolved in a professional manner, using the appropriate online system, such as EpiTrak or SafeTrak if applicable.

Be available to attend well sites if necessary.

On a day to day basis supervise, mentor and motivate a number of subordinates, either Project Engineers and / or Field Engineers. In conjunction with the Operations Manager, manage Field Engineer field break to average out utilisation in the department.

Perform annual and mid-year appraisals using the Expro online EDP system, set SMART objectives in line with the corporate targets and strategies and identify development and training objectives.
