Our client is currently recruiting for the position of HVAC Engineer, based in Powai, Mumbai, India.
Job Description
An experienced HVAC Engineer is required to join our client's team in Powai, Mumbai on a permanent basis.
Skills & Experience
Degree qualified Mechanical engineer, specialising in Design , installation & Commissioning of HVAC works for offshore Living Quarter & Building module
Significant relevant work experience
Should have knowledge/experience of the following including relevant equipment (Chillers , AHU , Chilled water Pump, Ventilation Fans, Fire Damper, Duct heater, Online Ducting equipment , Online Piping items & Instruments etc.)
Working knowledge of layouts , Heat load calculations through software
Working knowledge of duct layouts , piping sizing / routing layouts through software
Working knowledge of Pressure drop calculation on Air side & Water side.
Working knowledge of PDMS / Auto revit etc to get clash free Ducting / Piping drawing
Should be familiar with HVAC Controls
Working knowledge of the software programs: AutoCAD, HAP / Elite , standards like SMACNA for HVAC ducts production, ASHRAE for HVAC regulations. DNV, LRS, LR, SOLAS,ABS,NFPA etc.
BIM (Revit - MEP) , knowledge would be advantageous
Experience in HVAC Design and refrigeration system design, Heat load calculations, Designing Ducts with SMACNA, DW142 & DW144 standards and Co-Ordinate with production and installation.
Experience of HVAC Application Software: Carrier E-20 (HAP 4.40 or latest version for heat load calculation), Mc Quay HVAC duct and ASHRAE Duct, Fitting Data Base for Air friction calculation etc.
Proposal side
Experience of Proposals, Vendor co ordinations, RFQ generations, offer evaluations & estimations of complete HVAC works for offshore projects.
Execution side
Experience in working on yard / offshore, Involvement in active Production with Existing drawing or modification as per site condition
Should be able to coordinate with the other disciplines especially with E&I.
Should be able to co ordinate with client for Drawings & purchase specification approval.
Familiar to work with Project management activates and ISO documentations.
Pre Commissioning & Commissioning side
Working knowledge, preparation of HVAC Pre commissioning & Commissioning procedure and documentation.
Hand on experience on guiding the team for doing commissioning of HVAC system at offshore including activities e.g. Air balancing, Water balancing , Maintaining room design conditions. pressurization, various Pre Commissioning & Commissioning checks.
Site execution background is essential for Living Quarter/Building modules HVAC works
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
