Job Description

They are currently recruiting for the position of Well Operations Specialist - Drilling Projects, based in Baku Azerbaijan

Responsibilities will include:
Project Manage the "Green Shale" Project
Interface with Company Engineering, Subsurface and Operations Teams.
Draw lessons learned from company global engineering.
Collate relevant information from engineering and operations disciplines.
Coordinate data analysis from previous wells.
Identify causal factors for Green Shale instability including - Trajectory, Inclination, Bedding Plains, Dip Angle, Mud Temperature, Mud Weights, Low Energy Drilling and Reaming, Optimal Casing Points.
Determine optimal Rotary Steerable system and Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) design.
Collate and provide recommendations to engineering and drilling teams.
Provide coaching to Drilling Engineers, Challenge Engineers and Well Site Leaders

Experience/Qualifications
Essential
Valid Well Control for Subsea and Surface Supervisory Level to Industry Accreditation for example: International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), International Well Control Forum (IWCF) WellCap.
Extensive Drilling Operations experience in well planning/design, drilling project management and drilling site supervision.
Experience in Well Placement, Directional Drilling Planning, Bottom Hole Assembly Design, Extended Reach Drilling, Narrow Margin Fracture/Pore Pressure, High Pressure/Temperature, Drilling Fluids and Cementing.
Experience of managing Hole and Wellbore Stability problems
Drilling Operations experience with Major International Oil Company and or National Oil Company
Upper Immediate English Proficiency for Reading, Writing and Speaking

Desirable
Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Technical subject
Demonstrable capabilities of developing, training and coaching less experienced drilling engineers
Implementation of knowledge management plans, Technical Limit, capturing lessons learnt and integration into future drilling design programmes and procedures.
Computer literacy in Microsoft applications and morning reporting/database systems (i.e. Open-Wells)
