The Procurement Project Manager (PPM) leads all procurement efforts as they relate to a specific new opportunity or a construction project. The PPM acts as the single point of contact for project procurement and is fully accountable for outcomes for each initiative/project. The PPM is on the Deal Team and is responsible for the development of Procurement Planning in support of the Deal Architecture process (including logistics support, as needed). In addition, the PPM is responsible for overseeing and leading Procurement Estimating support. The PPM leads 'project teams' for each project that include Discipline Specialists, Buyers, Contract Managers, Expeditors, and Supplier QA, to ensure single point accountability for Procurement on each project.

•Assisting with the creation of staffing plans for execution planning and procurement scheduling
•Developing DOR
•Leading procurement estimating support
•Leading procurement planning
•Assisting in assignment of the project team
•Procurement project management
•For high and medium criticality items or as needed (along with assigned buyer):
•RFP & scope of work/specifications development
•Sourcing strategy development
•Conducting bidder conferences
•Bid evaluations
•Negotiations strategy development
•Conducting negotiations
•Supplier selection
•Leading weekly procurement meetings

Accountable for Overseeing:
•Use of master agreement program suppliers
•Exception resolution
•Approval of payments related to schedule milestones
•Updating systems for exception resolution
•Logistics survey
•Obtaining pricing for estimates
•Pre-mobilization checklist execution
•Procurement document controls
•Procurement execution for projects
•Contract management and expediting
•Logistics planning
•SQS execution

The PPM should have experience with large LNG projects, and understand construction project environments, requirements, and risks. The PPM should have outstanding project management capabilities; the position requires a procurement skill set or in-depth procurement training. Knowledge and understanding of engineering, construction, and relevant equipment are a plus, but any gaps can be filled by Discipline Specialists. Construction and/or project management experience are strongly preferred.

They act as the 'tip of the spear' for Procurement and are able to leverage the full capabilities of Procurement. This person will be the liaison between Procurement and the Project Executive (PE). If the PE requires any information regarding procurement events, schedules or information pertaining to certain bids, the PPM is the dotted line representative that will possess all of the required information.
