I know I know - this headline is like so Yoncé so I’m sorry to disappoint if you were expecting a remake of her video. For that you can check out my video on Instagram. I was originally gonna post some NYE outfit ideas but like a true slacker I still don’t know what to wear! So much pressure to get your fit poppin like OH MAH GAWDDD. So naturally I was out shopping last night along with all the other panicked crazies instead of doing a proper outfit collage. Buttttt I have the next best thing for you instead - a roundup of my favorite looks from the past year. Twenty-four looks to be exact. One to countdown every hour for the last day of 2013 - lucky you! #lulz
Now I know I’m supposed to like reflect and stuff on the past year but tbh ain’t nobody got time for that when you’re working a full time job, a full time blog, AND trying to find time to go shopping before tomorrow. So in short, here’s my “style” reflection for 2013. 1) I am a terrible “model” (role-model and otherwise). 2) I wear a lot of blue. 3) I also wore a lot of black this past year - that never happened before. And 4) I was a lot chubbier last winter. Very in depth reflections, see!
On a more personal note, 2013 has been a great year! So much change and growth has happened in all areas of my life and I wouldn’t take very much of it back. I’m pretty darn proud of what I accomplished and the strong relationships I’ve formed and I’m really looking forward to carrying that success and momentum into the new year. My only resolution for 2014 is to keep having fun! I think I used to worry too much about everyone and everything else in the past so from now on I’ma DO ME.
I also just want to thank you guys for continuing to support Closet Freaks. It means so much to know I have great readers who are interested in my point of view on style.
