If you want nice riding for a jeep I'd pair any of the following together...
MetalCloak dual rate springs
or
Rock Krawler triple rate springs
With...
ARB Old Man Emu nitrocharger sport shocks
Or...
Rancho rs9000 adjustable shocks.
I've got the full MetalCloak Game Changer kit on my jeep. If you're anywhere near me you're more than welcome to meet up and take my jeep for a drive. Get a feel for it yourself. I'm usually all over the northeastern side of Ohio from Cleveland all the way over through Pittsburgh and north east of Pittsburgh. I have to drive a lot for my career.

I'm also with some of the others... I'd forget the all terrain tires. You can get great mud terrain tires that ride great on road and are quiet. Plus off road they'll take you farther than an all terrain. If you must have an all terrain, I'd probably look into a Duratrac, Cooper ST Maxx, Fierce Attitudes, or something similar. They're a more aggressive AT tire, and I know at least one of them is also Snow Flake rated so perform great in snow/ice conditions.
Thanks for the advice and offer!
The Mustang finally sold, so I am now doing my final researches before I pull the trigger on the mods I want. It looks like the forum members here may be a little more hardcore offroad than what I am looking for in this paraticualr wrangler. I made the decision a few months ago that I didn't really want a beater (not that you guys have beaters, because I know most of you have more in your rigs drivetrain than I have in my sissy Jeep..lol) , but something to take the wife out in and something that she could drive to work and be proud of. I'm not planning to trailer my rig to have fun (I did enough of that with MX and Harescrambles). Believe me, I do miss hitting the trails hard in the Cherokee Sport, or a 66' Corvette with Rockwell military axles and 52" tractor treads. I miss those days, but luckily my brother has about 4 Cherokees that we can trash around whenever. But I do have my RZR for crawling, and it does quite well. But I suppose for this particular rig, it will be more of a mall crawler, with the occasional trail ride here and there........until i get that first dent, or until it starts rusting out. Then it's up to D44 or Ford 8.8, and lots more money into the drivetrain/ suspension. Maybe I'll have to pull my RZR out with my mall crawler and get out with you guys some time. In the meantime, if anyone is planning a novice ride to Tar Hallow anytime soon, please let me know.
And it's been a long, long time since I've ran any mud tires (Swampers, ground hawgs, etc..) but I do know back in the day, that they were always much rougher and louder than AT's.
