All decked out in his Labor Day garb, Al Bundy prepares to barbecue for the annual holiday. But not just yet.
First, he must give a speech commemorating Labor Day and what it means to him in particular. Using a meat fork to scratch his back, he goes all the way back to prehistoric times. He told how the caveman risked life and limb while the cavewoman sat around “getting fat, smoking cigarettes, and watching ‘The Phil Jabberman Show'”.
The Bundy family as well as the Rhoades all must sit there as he continues to rant. It finally ends with the conclusion “and the women STILL did nothing!”
Just when his guests think there’s no more torture to inflict, he makes them all rise and stands for the national anthem. And then, the “burgers take the field.”
