Al Bundy finally has some good news. A company is going to sponsor a scoreboard for Polk High and looking for someone to name it after. And what bigger legend is there than Mr. Four Touchdowns in a single game?

The bad news is that the sponsor is the Kyoto national bank, the company that Marcy works for. Even worse is that Marcy is the one tasked with finding the one to name it after. Vowing to find anybody other than Al, she discovers that Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw attended Polk High briefly for two months just in time to join the chess club and play Glinda in “The Wizard of Oz.”

Kelly is determined to get her father’s name on that scoreboard. After meeting with who she calls “Mr. football star guy”, and saying that although Bradshaw knows what it’s like to win the big one, Al hasn’t even won the little one. Moved by her pleas, Bradshaw promises that Al will know what it’s like to win the big one.

In defiance, Al gathers Bud and Jefferson with a plan to blow up the scoreboard during the unveiling ceremony. Using code names, Al communicates through a wire to Jefferson, aka “gold digger”, and Bud, aka “son of Frankenstein.” With dynamite in place, Al instructs them to blow the scoreboard when they play the fight song.

Just as is with Al’s luck, as Terry Bradshaw is giving his speech he concedes his name and presents the Al Bundy scoreboard. His excitement is short lived as he sees the band beginning to play. Dusting off his fullback skills, he runs and dodges through them but is not in time.

Many groups claim responsibility for the explosion. They include the National Organization of Women, the National Organization of Fat Women, and the government of France.
