A record number of pen and pencil companies and brands are exhibiting at next month’s Stationery Show in London, reflecting the renewed consumer interest in writing and personal stationery.

Buyers will be able to see the writing instruments of over sixty British and overseas companies ranging from children’s and everyday to higher end fine writing products at the focused two day event at the stylish Business Design Centre on Tuesday 1 – Wednesday 2 April.

The exhibition is part of National Stationery Week and the Get Britain Writing campaign whose sponsors include Sheaffer, Faber-Castell and Zebra Pen. www.nationalstationeryweek.com

“The writing instrument market is in good shape and is remarkably buoyant at the moment” says organiser Chris Leonard-Morgan.

“It is being driven by fashion and colour as well as need, and great design and innovation by manufacturers.  It’s where fashion meets function, and is a growing sales opportunity for retailers .”
