Mark McGrath became famous in the 1990s as the singer of the popular band Sugar Ray. He has since been the host of a couple of television shows, including Extra and Don’t Forget the Lyrics. But a lot of people don’t know that he also has several tattoos.

His Drunken Regret

Mark McGrath has one tattoo on the right side of his torso that he sort of regrets. It is a black and grey tattoo of the Rolex logo with a crown above the word “Rolex.” He claims that he got it back in the 1990s when he was really drunk and his friend told him that if he got the tattoo, he would pay him $100. The tattoo ended up costing him the same amount of money, so he actually got nothing out of the deal.

Arm Tattoos

Mark McGrath’s right forearm has a large black and grey tattoo of a rose and the words “In Memory Of Lynn.” The years 1968 and 1998 are also found on either side of the rose. This special tattoo is in memory of his good friend, Lynn Strait, who was the lead singer of the band Snot, who died in a car accident. Another tattoo that is also found on his right forearm is of the name Lola, who is his dog. Swirling lines are found beneath the name, along with a little paw print. The entire design is done in black ink.

A colourful swallow is found on the front of each of Mark McGrath’s shoulders, and these tattoos commemorate the success of the hit single “Fly” by Sugar Ray.

As for Mark McGrath’s left arm, a large blue rose is found on the forearm, which is said to commemorate his deceased grandmother. Finally, a large blue and green star is found on his left elbow, extending from the centre of the elbow to his biceps and forearm.

Chest Tattoos

Mark McGrath also has a few chest tattoos that are worth noting. On the left side of his chest, he has a cursive letter “M” tattooed on in black ink because that is the letter of his first and last initial. On the right side of his chest is the classic Catholic symbol of praying hands holding rosary beads.

Other Torso and Back Tattoos

More ink is found on the rest of Mark’s torso. A colourful Cadillac logo is found on his right hip, clearly indicating how much he loves that brand of automobile over all others. Three black outlines of shamrocks are found on the back of his left hip.

An interesting form of the letter “S” is found right above Mark’s belly button, and he supposedly got this tattoo when he was drunk as well and wanted to get the first initial of his band’s name.

And, finally, on his back, there is an outline of Mc, for the first letters of his last name, as well as a massive tattoo that spans the length of his upper back that reads “Irish” surrounded with ivy.
