Marketing network will strengthen MSMEs by forging relationship with strategic partners -Minister Sri Behera

Bhubaneswar, 27th September, 2014Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Minister Shri Jogendra Behera,

inaugurated 21st National Management Conference 2014 organised by Asian School of Business Management.

In this occasion with the theme ‘Marketing Networks – The Game Changer’, Minister Shri Behera, Chief Guest said that marketing network will strengthen MSMEs in India by forging close and robust relationship with strategic partners.

He cited the example of “OLX and Flipkart” model of doing business as an effective model and concluded by saying that we must remain focused on an optimistic future by giving all the best to the nation in terms of incorporating

innovative business models to increase the capability of all industries and particularly MSMEs. Now-a-days innovative products are manufactured by micro, small and medium enterprises. The promotional agencies for development of

MSMEs such as, Directorate of Industries, District industries Centre, NSIC, OSIC, KVIC, KVIB and IED have created the “network” which stimulates, supports, and sustains the MSME development in the state. Introducing the theme Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, Director, ASBM and Chairman of NMC 2014, said that marketing of products and services continues to

be a challenge and that entrepreneurs in the state face various difficulties in chasing their dreams. He asserted that we should adopt a ‘generation based marketing strategies’ to realistically target market in the country. He concluded saying that ‘innovative idea generation’ will be the real differentiator for marketing success and as a society we must strive onwards for the same. In his keynote address, Rear Admiral (Dr.) Salil Kumar Mohanty, Vice President AMRI Group of Hospitals stated, that private players are in a constant endeavour to bring a new technology to their infrastructure and various quality

services are being integrated to provide augmented service delivery to consumers to remain profitable in the business of marketing healthcare. Guest of Honour Shri Rajendra Kumar Swain, DGM, Canara Bank highlighted certain aspects of the 2006 MSME Act and spoke about its relevance to the country. He went on to say that for ‘maintaining economic balance based from the view point of entrepreneurial success and innovation’, marketing and support his network is the only way of creating equitable wealth across states in order to benefit the nation as a whole. Dr. Biswajeet Pattanayak, Chairman of NMC presented mementos to all the guests in the occasion. The Coordinator of the conference Prof. Raj Kamal Verma introduced all the eminent guests and Co-coordinator Dr. M. N. Samantaray, proposed the vote of thanks. The event was attended by delegates from different industries, research scholars, students, faculty members and many erudite guests.
