**Duties & Responsibilities**
* Summary:*
Responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment associated with diving operations including but not limited to: dive compressors, dive umbilicals, diving helmets, regulators, hydraulic power units (HPU), dive control vans, deck chambers, radios, video equipment, air and gas racks, saturation diving systems, gas blending system, gas reclaim system, habitat control system, bell launch and recovery system.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*
* Possess a strong working knowledge of the equipment used in the diving industry.
* Able to repair and maintain compressor systems.
* Possess an understanding of the operation and repair of A/C and D/C voltage equipment.
* Be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics.
* Must be capable of conducting maintenance operations in a safe and efficient manner.
* Knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.
* Knowledge of proper operation and use of all equipment related to air diving, including decompression chambers.
* Knowledge of air/gas/saturation diving procedures and techniques including JSEAs.
* Must show discretion, good judgment, organizational or management ability, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
* Perform maintenance/repairs on equipment offshore and in the diving yard.
* Service diving hats / helmets.
* Maintain/repair electronics.
* Maintain/repair hydraulics.
* Maintain/repair mechanics.
* Use test equipment, calibrate and align equipment, and perform general housekeeping and corrosion control.
* Establish and maintain parts and supplies associated with all diving equipment.

* Education and/or Experience*
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Technical/Associates degree
* At least 12 months training or experience in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical training
* Certified Kirby Morgan diving hat technician
* Experience in the offshore industry or on vessels is a plus
* Other Requirements*
* Able to pass a post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
* Willing to ride boats, barges, and air transportation to remote areas
* Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card)
* Willing to work offshore in harsh weather environments on a rotation or callout basis
* Language Skills*
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Mathematical Skills*
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Reasoning Ability*
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Computer Skills*
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD.

The Diving work environment; the site may contain mobility barriers with uneven ground level and obstructed pathways. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor climate with harsh weather environments, various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, and on a rotation or call-out basis.
Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment; lifting 50 lbs from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards. Protective equipment will be required to be worn at all times. This is *medium* work (exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of work frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
