Position Summary

The Assembly Superintendent has responsibility for the project activities and resources as they relate to design inputs, assembly budget, planning and schedule. The Assembly Superintendent will also have to manage the resources that will support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Installation and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) testing. They will directly manage the Assembly Supervisors for all projects, testing and installation as required. Superintendent will provide weekly status updates to the projects which will include budget, schedule, percent complete and any project related issues. In the design and planning phases they will provide inputs at design reviews and work with Production Planners as it relates to schedule and project execution. Assembly Superintendent will be responsible for the day to day safety of everyone in their group and ensure that all HSE policies are being followed and any safety requirements are being reported.

Duties & Responsibilities

## Manage all functions of Assembly which includes:

* Directing the work of all Supervisors on all projects
* Provide inputs to the programs for design, assembly, budget and schedule
* Manage and assign all resources
* Coordinate with Project / Program Managers for FAT, Installation, and SAT testing with regards to planning and resources
* Interface with the Assembly and Installation Supervisors located in Orlando, Fla.
* Interface with Engineering during Assembly, Testing and Install and provide Engineering with all necessary feedback regarding redlines and field changes
* Responsible for inventory and tracking of all purchased parts for the project
* Direct personnel management including providing performance evaluations for his or her group i.e. goal setting, mid-year reviews and conducting annual reviews
* Determine the most cost effective and productive method of executing the projects within budget
* Report project activities and monitor operation to plan and profitability

**Responsible for the direct supervision of installation and testing activities of Assembly Supervisors in Hanover MD and Orlando FL.

Qualifications

**Education:**

* Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Field preferred, or equivalent work experience and training leading to a high level of competency related to the work performed

* Production related experience and/or training required

* Project and resource management training and/or experience required

**Experience:**

* Minimum of 10 years work experience in a technical or related field

* Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role

**Knowledge:**

* Demonstrated understanding of prints, bill of materials, and installation/test plans.

* Demonstrated understanding of scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera)

* Other computer software including typical office suites. (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)

**Other Pre-requisites:**

* Candidate will have to perform in an ISO-9000 rated company in a rapidly changing and demanding atmosphere
* Position requires a valid Passport and the ability to travel and work abroad as required
* Position requires regular and frequent interaction with Manufacturing and Assembly services in Orlando, Fl.
* Ability to work in the U.S.
