Oktoberfest Beer Dinner at The Federal

This Thursday, September 18, Oktoberfest starts early at The Federal as the MiMo-district tavern hosts a beer pairing dinner to get locals excited for its annual Oktoberfest celebration September 20-October 5. Local beer aficionados Patrick Lunn and Diego Ganoza will lead guests through five courses and eight Oktoberfest brews. James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner Series at The Biltmore

The James Beard Foundation's dinner tour is making its way to The Biltmore to toast the 25th anniversary of Tom Klein’s family ownership of Rodney Strong Vineyards. This Saturday, September 20, diners can enjoy four courses prepared by some of the world’s most well-known chefs—including The Biltmore’s David Hackett, Giuseppe “Beppe” Galazzi, Gregory Pugin, and Olivier Rodriguez—paired with Rodney Strong wines. Louis Salgar Benefit at Gramps

Stop by Gramps this Sunday, September 21 at 2 p.m. to celebrate the life of local musician and bartender Louis Salgar, who was killed on June 23 during a home robbery. Sponsored by Fernet-Branca, Bacardi, and Miami businesses, the memorial concert and fundraiser will feature sets by DJ Mikey Ramirez, DJ Andi Sweetswirl, and Eel & Ketchy Shuby; raffles of local goods and services; and silent auctions of pieces by local artists like Nicole Salgar and Chuck Berrett.
