KEY NOTE SPEAKER, LIFE SCOUT, TED HAYES

We are very excited to announce our keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Life Scout, Ted Hayes.  Ted is considered to be the foremost American advocate for the homeless and founder of Dome City in Los Angeles.  Out of the Dome City project, Ted and his eldest son and a British partner created two world renown Cricket teams, they being the LA Krickets (homeless men) and the Compton Homies and POPz (Compton youth and homeless men) which ultimately resulted in the formation of the Compton Cricket Club.  Not only will Ted inspire us with truly remarkable stories of his life in sacrificial service to others-which he attributes to the indelible influence of his Scout leaders, but with his own unique Scouting journey which began on a military base in Maryland where he later encountered the iconic American artist, Norman Rockwell at a National BSA youth leadership training conference.
