The sun is officially setting on summer break. This time next week all three of my children will have their bottoms firmly planted in a desk and hopefully have their minds engaged at the thought of continuing their education. In some of our past experiences with organic or natural candy, the flavor seemed dull and lacking, but this was not at all the case with our Black Forest Organic assortment. The gummies had deliciously juicy fruit flavors that were easy to distinguish and wonderful to enjoy. The lemon tasted like lemon, the orange tasted like orange, and you could even taste the multiple flavor combinations included in the gummy worms. The intense taste mixed with fresh, soft, well packaged candy was a real treat.
The Black Forest Organic sours were lightly sour without being overpowering, making them perfect for extra sensitive little ones. As someone that truly loves a sour to sweet gummy, I did yearn for a bit more sour power, but also appreciated the fact that the sour dust or crystals did not burn my mouth or make it raw despite eating an entire package, which has happened with a few popular varieties on the market. I feel this has everything to do with the all natural ingredients used, but semantics aside, these treats were terrific. As a huge watermelon fan, the watermelon Sour Heads were my absolute favorite of the entire assortment.
You can not forget about the Black Forest Organic hard candy. Each piece is individually wrapped inside the package, making them just as convenient as they are tasty. My husband raved over the amazing caramels, which reminded him of being with his grandparents, while the fruit flavored candy drops are perfect for keeping at my desk and popping in my mouth when I crave a small sugar rush.
