I seem to be a sucker for all things home decor and always enjoy picking up a new item or two. As we begin the process of putting our home on the market so that we can purchase another more fit for our needs, I have started to envision the decorative changes I plan to make to whatever new place we will call home. The Create-UR-Plate process begins with customers selecting from hundreds of professionally designed reusable decals known as Plate-Ables. These decals ($1.99 each) are available in a vast variety of themes which include every major holiday and event from bridal showers and Christmas, to graduations and St. Patrick’s Day, and everything in between. There is also a huge selection of everyday designs to coincide with any type of home decor, seasonal look or fun kid friendly design. The possibilities are absolutely endless and every Plate-Ables design can be fully customized and personalized using your own photos and text, so you truly receive a unique look all your own.
Once you have your Plate-Able decals created, customers can then select their plate type and size. There are high quality disposable plastic plates perfect for a holiday party or milestone birthday as well as reusable glass plates. Both options are available in large dinner sizes (10.5″ glass and 10.25″ plastic) and small salad/dessert options (7.5″ glass and 7″ plastic). I had the opportunity to try out the Create-UR-Plate process and selecting the perfect Plate-Ables design was one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make in quite awhile. Not only were there an amazing array of styles to choose from, but those could then be customized with different color, font and placement options. The possibilities were definitely endless. After much debate (in my own head like a crazy person) I selected the Corn Flower Monogram – gray Plate-Able . I felt that although these were a neutral gray, the design was fun and unique, and they would look stunning on top of a bright placemat or tablecloth. I also really liked the included monogram and decided to feature just a simple W (for our last name), making our new plates perfect for everyday use by our entire family.
The design process was extremely easy. There were numerous font, sizes and colors to choose from and I was also given the option to include photos, clip art and more. While I was personalizing our Plate-Ables decals, there was a large detailed preview which showed me exactly how everything would look. That preview was definitely spot on and I appreciated the many options I was given. I decided to include a set of reusable glass plates with my order. These are sold separately in sets of 6 ($29.99) Our new personalized Plate-Ables decals paired with sturdy glass plates are sure to really help make our new house feel like home.
I will admit I did not know exactly how everything would fit together prior to receiving our Create-UR-Plate order, but once our shipment arrived, it all made perfect sense. The Create-UR-Plate box had detailed instructions about our glass plates while the Plate-Ables folder had additional instructions and advised that it be saved to store your Plate-Ables when not in use.
When I put everything together, I was instantly addicted. This concept is amazing! Not only do we have a set of six sturdy, high quality, glass plates, but we have custom personalized decals that create a one of a kind look. The best part is that I can return to the Create-UR-Plate website and customize another set of Plate-Ables, perhaps for a special occasion or holiday, and use them with the set of glass plates we already have. With someone as decor crazy as I am, I could definitely see myself becoming a Plate-Ables hoarder!
