Staying healthy during the fall and winter months is never an easy task. It can be even more difficult if you are opposed to conventional methods of prevention such as flu shots and chemical filled cough syrups. Along with ensuring my family eats healthy and organic foods, I also choose to use supplements and natural remedies as much as possible when it comes to our overall health and well being. This is especially important during the holiday season since we find ourselves socializing, shopping in stores, and out in the cold weather more often, plus no one wants to add illness to their seasonal stress load!

I was able to select a variety of EnerHealth Botanicals items to review. Some were suggested as must trys from owner Steve St. Clair himself, and others I had been yearning to try for quite some time. I have described each of them in a bit more detail, as well as added my thoughts on every item, below.
EchinOsha Syrup with Elderberry – $27.99 – EchinOsha Syrup with Elderberry is a powerful herbal syrup designed to offer increased immune support. This syrup combines the potent blend of Echinacea and Osha Roots with the extra benefits of Elderberry for a good tasting syrup. This syrup is to be taken at the first sign of illness and it offers a great alternative to me opening standard Echinacea capsules and stirring them inside my children’s beverages since my younger two can’t swallow pills. My good friend has sworn by Elderberry for years and I am excited to have it on hand if a case of the yuckies show up at our door.
Female Hormone Balance – $17.99 – Female Hormone Balance is a great herbal remedy that is used to support healthy female hormonal levels and to strengthen the female reproductive system. Although I am no longer in the baby making stage of my life, I do find my female cycles to be wonky and off balance all too often. I am hoping this mixture can help things get back on track and keep my cycles regular.
Cough Calming Syrup – $27.99 – Cough Calming Syrup is a soothing herbal remedy that is an expectorant designed to calm a cough fast. This good tasting syrup should be taken throughout the duration of a cough. Unfortunately Makenna recently came down with a bad cough that required her to need the Cough Calming Syrup along with Albuterol inside the nebulizer in order to open up her lungs and allow her to breathe freely. She did mention this syrup tasted good and it seemed to help break up her chest congestion as well as quiet her cough to allow her to get some much needed rest.
Honey ’n Propolis Throat Spray – $24.99 – Honey ’n Propolis Throat Spray is a soothing, antibiotic herbal remedy for the relief of sore throats, strep, swollen glands and laryngitis. The resinous propolis coats and soothes the throat with its antibiotic activity for long lasting relief throughout the day and night. The cherry flavor adds a pleasant taste. We have not had any throat issues around our house so far this season, but unfortunately all too many illnesses start with a sore throat. This is so important to have on hand in our family!
Coconut Milk Powder – $16.99 – Coconut Milk Powder is one of nature’s finest super foods promoting health and vitality. EnerHealth’s Coconut Milk Powder contains approx. 65% Virgin Coconut Oil that is packed with Medium Chain Fatty Acids, Omega 3′s, and is also a rich source of Lauric, Caprylic, and Capric Acids which are known for their anti-viral, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal properties. This is a great alternative to dairy and is delicious in smoothies, food, or by itself constituted in water. Does it taste like mushrooms? Of course not…that would be weird. This is just a delicious cocoa powder that is organic, delicious, and good for you!
My kids can not get enough of EnerHealth Botanical’s Coconut Milk Powder and Cocoa Mojo 100% Organic Cocoa Powder mixed together in 8oz of organic fat free milk. It had become their favorite breakfast beverage and they ask for it each and every morning. Together it tastes like a delicious chocolate coconut macaroon and since all of the ingredients are natural and organic, I am a happy mama!
