Wellness Tip of the Week:  Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? This is an annual campaign championed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The theme for 2017 is “Put Your Best Fork Forward”, meaning that we need to remember that each bite counts. Making small changes in our food choices and eating habits can make a big difference over time. Stay tuned for more nutrition tips throughout the month and check out the following sources for great information about nutrition for the whole family.  Eat Right- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics  Choose My Plate- UDSA

Oconomowoc High School

OHS Seniors spent their day yesterday learning about life and budgeting. The High School's Realty Store is a day to teach students about what it means to live within a budget. Thank you to all community businesses and district staff who helped make the day a success.  Students each received a profession, salary and a checkbook prior to starting the exercise. To complete their day they needed to stop at all tables, write checks for necessities, wants and unexpected challenges life can through your way. They experienced paying taxes, the cost of groceries, monthly rent and mortgages, health insurance, car insurance, cable, keeping a pet healthy and paying a speeding ticket!  Soon our seniors will head into their next life chapter and the exercise helped them understand what being a responsible adult and citizen is all about.  Click here for photos.
