District Inclusive Practices Update
As part of the district’s work toward strong inclusive practices and better outcomes for students with disabilities, we wanted to let you know that the district has added a second parent liaison.  We know families are a key role in all student success, and want to continue to provide great service to our students and families by adding additional support.  Kim Pinsch, a parent at Greenland Elementary, has agreed to take on the additional role as a parent liaison supporting our families with students with disabilities and helping to educate all families about disabilities.  Click here for more information.

School District Facilities Update
Planning is underway for the facilities projects around our district. Visioning meetings have begun for the renovation and expansion at Ixonia Elementary. Updates to the mechanical systems at Greenland and Park Lawn will soon begin the design phase. We are grateful to the community for their support of the November referendum that allowed us to upgrade and improve learning spaces at Ixonia, Greenland, Park Lawn, OHS and the OHS East Campus.  Click here for a review of OASD facility planning work and timelines.

Facilities Financing Update
In response to rising interest rates after the Nov. 8 election, the district created a revised financing plan. The new plan will implement four phases of debt borrowing instead of three, with interest rates ranging between 3.36% and 3.55%. This keeps the mill rate impact at $0.40, and keeps the net cost, including interest and issuance expenditures, the same as the Board's original plan. In December, the school board approved the first phase of bond issuance for referendum construction and renovation projects in the amount of $8,885,000 with a total cost of interest of 3.35%.
