October 12, 2016 at Rochester Fencing Club in Rochester.
When you were a kid, did you ever dream of being a knight, jedi, or musketeer? How about getting en garde and trying the Olympic sport of fencing to fulfill those dreams? In this class you will learn the basic footwork moves, defensive actions, and use the actual fencing equipment!
Please note: Both first-timers and those who have fenced before are welcome. This class will take place at the Rochester Fencing Club. Participants must wear athletic clothing and be ready to sweat in the gear. Please wear shorts or pants that go past the knee and athletic shoes-please no crocs, sandals, or boots. All safety equipment will be provided for you during this class.

About the teacher:
Iris Zimmermann is a Rochester native, Olympian, and Co-Owner of the Rochester Fencing Club. She made the 2000 Olympic Team with her sister and Co-Owner, Felicia Zimmermann. The Zimmermann sisters have owned and taught at the fencing club since 2009.
