TEN ARGUMENTS at BHQFU

Anna Craycroft + David Levi Strauss
AESTHETICS + IDEOLOGY

Free + Open to the Public

This Sunday, please join us for the third session of Ten Arguments. This lecture-style class is open to all and is a great way for newcomers to get a sampling of the diverse visiting artist roster that BHQFU facilitates every semester, and to experience rigorous conversations on a variety of topics germane to contemporary art practices and critical sociocultural perspectives. Each week, we’ve invited two AMAZING guests and worked with each duo to develop a combinatory topic around which both of them will deliver individual “arguments” back-to-back. On February 7th, artist Anna Craycroft and poet and cultural critic David Levi Strauss will present their individual perspectives on the relationship between AESTHETICS + IDEOLOGY. After, they will engage in a lively discussion with the audience. At the end of the discussions, BHQFU invites you to stick around for a casual social hour where students, faculty, and visiting artists can continue conversations and get to know one another better in a less formal setting.

Ten Arguments will be documented thoroughly for those who cannot attend a particular session, and will eventually be turned into a publication in support of BHQFU.
