It’s amazing how a week unfocused can derail your best efforts. I have no idea how it happened but my daughter and I went out to dinner 5 days last week. 5 days. That’s a lot even by New York standards. I only expected to go out dinner once as a friend was in town but somehow, it was the end of school dinner celebration, end of after school camp celebration, dinner with other families celebration and there you have it.
I will say in my defense that I was very focused for breakfast and lunch and went into each dinner very focused in ordering a light meal but here is where I go astray, bread, butter and fries. Yes, fries. For one dinner, I ordered moules frites which mussels by themselves are actually not a bad meal to have but fries. Good grief. And seriously fries seem to my side dish at every meal.
Anyway, in the end I was not happy that I did not lose any weight but was happy that I at least maintained.
