With Black Friday sales totaling $10.4 billion in 2015 — the online portion of which accounted for a record $4.45 billion — and more than a third of consumers exceeding their budgets for holiday spending, the personal finance website WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis to determine 2015’s Holiday Budgets by City.
WalletHub’s analysts used data from a number of sources, including WalletHub partner TransUnion, to calculate the maximum holiday budgets for the consumers in each of 563 U.S. cities.
Plus, users who join the WalletHub community between now and Dec. 25 will receive a personalized holiday budget based on their location and financial profile.
