Full casting is now in place for Sebastian Barry's The Steward of Christendom. Joining previoiusly announced two-time Tony Award winner Brian Dennehy will be Carmela Corbett, Mary-Pat Green, Kalen Harriman, James Lancaster, Grant Palmer, Dylan Saunders, Daniel Weinstein and Abby Wilde. The Center Theatre Group production begins performances November 26, 2013 and will play a limited engagement through January 5, 2014  at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Opening night is scheduled for December 8.

Directed by Steven Robman, The Steward of Christendom is set in the early 1930s at an Irish county mental home. The play tells the story of Thomas Dunne, a 75-year-old former head of Dublin’s Metropolitan Police, who has been committed by his daughter.

Dennehy won Tony Awards for Death of a Salesman and Long Day’s Journey into Night. His other theater credits include Translations, Inherit the Wind, Desire Under the Elms, The Iceman Cometh, All’s Well That Ends Well, Twelfth Night, The Homecoming and Waiting for Godot. TV and film credits include First Blood, Presumed Innocent, Tommy Boy, Ratatouille, Righteous Kill,The Burden of Proof, A Killing in a Small Town, Murder in the Heartland and Jack Reed.
