With only one or two spots left in Syracuse's 2013 class after this weekend's addition of Ron "Buss" Patterson, Jim Boeheim and company have shifted their gaze onto the 2014 class, and are opening things up with a huge verbal commitment in the form of blue chipper Chris McCullough.

McCullough comes from the Bronx via Syracuse-friendly Brewster academy, and is a big get for the Orange for a number of reasons. He is ranked five-stars by Scout, Rivals, and ESPN, and is considered the third best power forward in his class. Rivals calls the 6'10", 220 lb McCullough a 'good' shooter and 'outstanding' rebounder.

McCullough is also the first part in a possible package deal, which would also bring guard Isaiah Whitehead to SU. The two have expressed heavy interested in playing together in college.

McCullough also holds reported offers from Arizona, UConn, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Providence, Rutgers, St. John's, UCLA, and West Virginia.
