I wrote an anger piece about the Sedin brothers not putting up points in these playoffs last week. Yes, it was justified. But they also had no support from the other lines..or..not enough support. Anyway, I am noticing that a lot of other highly-paid superstar forwards from other teams are struggling too. Let's take a look at those fiends, plus star players that are putting out. Dollar amounts are their cap hit. Ready? Go!

Vancouver Canucks

Daniel Sedin ($6.1 million): 3 assists in 4 games. M'EH.

Henrik Sedin ($6.1 million) 3 assists in 4 games. M'EH.

Ryan Kesler ($5 million): 2 goals and 0 assists in 4 games. FAIL.

Chicago Blackhawks

Patty Kane: ($6.3 million): No goals and 5 assists in 5 games. PASS.

Jonathan Toews: ($6.3 million): No goals and 2 assists in 5 games. FAIL.

Patrick Sharp ($5.9 million): 5 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. WINNER.

Marian Hossa ($5.275 million): 3 goals and 3 assists in 5 games. WIN.

Yea, they Hawks have super depth. I hate them.

Los Angeles Kings

Anze Kopitar ($6.8 million): 1 goal and 4 points in 6 games. He started slow but is coming on now. Still...FAIL.

Mike Richards ($5.75 million): No goals and 5 assists in 6 games. WIN.

Jeff Carter ($5.272 million): 3 goals and no assists in 6 games. M'EH.

Fuck it. The Kings are not getting past round 2.

San Jose Sharks

Joe Thornton ($7 million): 1 goal and 5 assists in 4 games. WIN.

Patrick Marleau ($6.9 million): 4 goals and 1 assist in 4 games. WIN.

Martin Havlat ($5 million). HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. FAIL.

Logan Couture is a steal at $2.874 million. He has 3 goals and 8 points in 4 playoff games so far.

Way to shut down the star players, Canucks. For fucks sakes!

Anaheim Ducks

Ryan Getzlaf ($5.325 million): 3 goals and 2 assists in 6 games. WIN.

Corey Perry ($5.325 million): 2 assists in 6 games. FAIL.

Bobby Ryan ($5.1 million): 2 goals and 2 assists in 6 games. M'EH.

I'm not gonna pick on Teemu Selanne. He's old and very good at hockey still. Bless his fucking heart.

Detroit Red Wings

Pavel Datsyuk ($6.7 million): 2 goals and 7 points in 6 games. WIN. Oh, he had 3 points in Game 6.

Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083 million): 2 goals and 4 assists in 6 games. Zatta started the series with 1 assist in the first 4 games. Now he is kicking some ass.

Minnesota Wild

Zach Parise ($7.538 million): 1 goal and no assists in 5 games. FAIL.

Dany Heatley ($7.5 million): Did not play. FAIL.

Mikko Koivu ($6.750 million): No points in 5 games! FAIL!

God damn it. And Pierre-Marc Douchard only managed 2 points. No wonder why they failed.Well....that and way too many injuries and bad luck.

GOLFING!

St. Louis Blues

BAH! The highest - paid player in St. Louis is (surprisingly) Andy McDonald at $4.7 million per season. No points in 6 games for that midget millionaire.

David Backes is paid $4.5 million and managed 1 goal and 3 points in 6 games.

Alex Steen was fairly stellar. But he's not one of the top paid guys on the team.

TJ Oshie, making $4.175 million per, scored 2 goals and no assists in 6 games. But he came late from injury.

ELIMINATED

Boston Bruins

First of all, FUCK YOU, BRUINS!

David Krejci ($5.25 million): 5 GOALS AND 11 POINTS in 5 GAMES! WIN!

Patrice Bergeron ($5.0 million): 1 goal and 0 assists in 5 games. FAIL.

Jaromir Jagr ($4.55 million): no goals and 2 assists in 5 games. Yea...fuck you, Jagr. FAIL. "Die a slow death" in Boston.

Milan Lucic ($4.083 million): 6 assists in 5 games. Not bad, Milan, after that benching. WIN.

Montreal Canadiens

Tomas Plekanec ($5 million): no goals and 4 assists in 5 games. M'EH.

Brian Gionta ($5 million): 1 assist in 2 games and then injured. M'EH.

ELIMINATED!

New York Islanders

John Tavares ($5.5 million): 2 goals and 2 assists in 5 games. WIN.

The highest - scoring player on the Isles was defenceman Mark Streit with 5 points in 5 games. End of fucking story. Kudos to the Isles for making the playoffs though. I am happy for them.

Pittsburgh Penguins

First off..fuck the damned Penguins I hate them all. Fuck off! Go away, dicks!

Sadney Crosby ($8.7 million): Who's kidding who? Crosby is the best player in the world. He has 8 points in 4 playoff games so far.

Evgeni Malkin ($8.7 million) Don't you love how these millionaires give a shit? Malkin makes no more than Sidney. How cute, Anyways, Malkin has 2 goals and 9 points in 5 games or the Pens so far. Impressive. WIN. But.....fuck him because he is a Penguin.

Jarome Iginla ($7 million). 1 goal and 8 points in 5 games so far? Yea...ain't it nice to be outta Calgary, Jarome? I do not wish you any luck from here on out. Fucking Pittsburgh. I hate them.

James Neal ($5.0 million): 1 goal in 3 games. FAIL.

New York Rangers

Rick Nash ($7.8 million): 1 assist in 5 games so far. COMPLETE FAIL.

Brad Richards ($6.666 million): 1 goal and no assists in 5 games so far. FAIL.

Ryan Callahan ($4.275 million): 2 assists in 5 games. FAIL.

Washington Capitals

Alexander Ovechkin ($9.538 million): 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 games. FAIL.

Nicklas Backstrom ($6.7 million): 1 goal and 3 points in 5 games. FAIL.

Mike Ribeiro ($5.0 million): 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 games. FAIL.

Brooks Laich and Martin Erat are each making $4.5 million this season. Laich is out and Erat is a FAIL.

Yet the Caps could beat the Rangers.

Ottawa Senators

Jason Spezza ($7.0 million). Injury-prone fail! Has not played for a long time and really nobody misses him. FAIL.

Daniel Alfredsson (4.875 million): 2 goals and 4 assists in 5 games = WIN

Milan Michalek ($4.333 million). 1 goal and 2 points in 5 games.

The real juice from the Sens comes from the kids. Not the guys mentioned above. Good for them. A solid accomplishment so far.

Maple Leafs

Mikael Grabovski ($5.5 million): 1 assist in 5 games. FAIL.

Phil Kessel ($5.4 million): 2 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. M'EH.

Joffrey Lupul ($4.25 million): 3 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. WIN.

James VanRiemsdyk ($4.25 million): 2 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. M'EH.

Hey folks, I am just giving you a visual. There are several other star players who are sucking whether it be by being shut down by opposing teams' defence or just plain failing overall.

I think that when it comes to the Sedins, they really do need a supporting cast. They are rarely going to dominate a playoff series unless the opposing team fails their assignment. When it comes to the Canucks and the Sedins, they really need a strong supporting cast to get those opposing fucks off the Sedins' case. It is what it is.

As good as the Twins are....they have not shown that they can adapt to bigger/smarter teams' checking regimes.

Anyway.....I wanted to point out in this post that several other NHL superstars are struggling in these playoffs as well. After doing the research I find that the best players in the NHL FIND A WAY to be successful.

Am I wrong for saying that?
