Nubry has partnered with The San Diego Polo Club to create the Official Style Guide for Polo Opening Day. Wondering what to wear to polo? San Diego Polo Opening Day, one of Southern California’s most highly anticipated social, fashion, and athletic events of the year is next Sunday, June 1st, 2014.

Wondering what to wear to Opening Day Polo? Read on….!

Whether you are enjoying the game from the VIP white tent or from the front lawn, you will undoubtedly want to be dressed to the nines.

See the Official San Diego Polo Opening Day Style Guide for the most stylish and best of what to wear to polo. If you are wondering what people wore to SDPC at a previous Opening Day, see What to Wear To a Polo Match.

Wide brimmed hats or fedoras are optional for polo, unlike Opening Day at The Del Mar Racetrack, where they are almost mandatory! A hat can be a nice option, as it provides sun protection to those who are lawn spectators or tailgaters. Nevertheless, hats make a chic fashion statement even to those who are viewing from the tent all afternoon.  Please do not arrive in stilettos as you will pierce the grass and hate your fashion faux pas decision all day. Wear wedges or fabulous jewel-encrusted sandals for a day of fun on the grass. Bright colored dresses are vibrant and catch the eye of other pologoers and social members during the sunny afternoon.

Opt for polo outfits that include beautiful summer colors like coral, hot pink, teal, and kelly green or a floral or printed dress with a variety of these hues.  Click here to see what pologoers and celebrities wear to the Veuve Cliquot Polo Game.  Pastels are always welcome and our favorites include mint, pale pink, baby blue, yellow and orchid.   For more about what to wear to polo and to see the full Polo Style Guide, click the link below.
