Conception Bay South Launches Curbside Recycling Program
One of the largest municipalities in the province has joined the ranks of curbside recyclers. Conception Bay South launched their long awaited program today.
Mayor Woodrow French unveiled the program at the town hall Tuesday morning, joined by fellow councillors, who say curbside recycling in the town has been years and many road bumps in the making.

Starter kits will be mailed with tips, guidelines and schedules. The town says the program will be a challenge given the hundreds of km of roads in the town and that challenge will be made even harder with only one recycling truck serving all 10,000 households.
However the hope is that participation from residents will ease the growing pains.
“When participation picks up, we will get that second truck, we need given the size of the town” – Woodrow French – Mayor of Conception Bay South.
Curbside pick up will begin in October on a bi-weekly basis
