Ajay Khanna, partner & CEO of Eagle Forgings is the new president at HOTREMAI (Hotel & Restaurant Equipment Manufacturers’ Association of India). Elected along with him for a two-year term at their recent AGM is a 15-member Executive Committee of very accomplished business leaders of marquee hospitality product brands.

“India has gone through a long recession which has affected the hospitality industry badly. In addition, rising costs coupled with a lower number of international business travellers have also affected the industry in general and new constructions in particular.
However, with the positive steps being taken by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, I strongly feel that both business travel and tourism will see an increase, which will lead to their revival. Subsequently, a healthy Hospitality Industry would definitely lead to better business for manufacturer, imports and traders of hotel equipment and services.
As we eagerly look forward to better times in the near future with our HOTREMAI Members gearing up with better products, better technology and cost effective solutions, I also feel that the manufacturing industry in India needs to be given special attention by the Government to make them competitive on a worldwide basis,” said Khanna.
