Duel Revolution is the kind of rip-off we approve of
Indie studio Prodigious Works has identified the huge gap in the mobile market for sprite-based collectable, battle-able monsters, and is currently hard at work on Duel Revolution – a free-to-download RPG with 1v1 battles and character customisation, coming to both iOS and Android.
The game will launch with over 100 different monsters, and will feature type mechanics similar to its genre parent. We admire the sprites on show so far – you’d think they were actually designed by Game Freak themselves!
Set to release early 2015 (read: any day now), Duel Revolution will recieve an update every three months – each update featuring new monsters, areas and characters. The game is likely to get slapped with a Nintendo lawsuit any day now – we just hope we get a chance to play it first.
